HelpStudio & Document! X 2024.1 Patch 3 contains the following improvements
New Features
When performing the "Add to Source Control" action during project creation, a "Select Source Control Project Folder" popup window now appears. This enhancement allows users to create new folders and subfolders directly from the popup window and the project will be added to the specified folder format on the Git Source Control Server. This feature provides greater flexibility in organizing source control projects and simplifies the folder creation process during project setup.
Quality Improvements
The jQuery libraries have been updated to the latest versions.
Each 'Colorized Example Code (Tab Style)' widget now accurately shows content solely on its designated tab.
Newly created Content Item Types are now correctly saved and displayed in the Options settings.
The hard-coded phrases in websearch.html have been replaced with metadata tags to enhance search functionality for the custom Responsive HTML5 Template.
The repository is now automatically cloned, and the project is added to the source control Git repository.
Users can now successfully check out a project after executing an Undo Check Out action.
This issue is fixed.
The "Add to Source Control" action now enables users to add new projects to the branch seamlessly, without encountering errors.
Undo Checkout now functions correctly.
Project now opens correctly when Git is set up as the source control provider.
The projects under the selected server instance are now correctly listed in the Team Project window.
XML comments are now successfully copied when using the "Copy Comments-->Content From" option.
When the user edits the relevant content of a node, the tree view updates automatically, and the node title appears in bold.
User will be prompted that "Language or Project Type not supported" when attempting to edit something Document! X does not support in the Visual Studio Extension.
Assembly documentation can now be edited without causing Visual Studio to crash.
Potential issue when creating a new project in Visual Studio has been fixed.
The C# source code sample file now opens in Microsoft Visual Studio without any package load warnings.
Visual Studio application opens without displaying any package load warnings and users can now open C# and VB.NET sample files in Visual Studio.
The preview page now correctly displays HTML5 content when the "HTML5 Preview Mode Enabled" option is enabled.
Empty projects are now created correctly when connected to Git using Source Control.
After enabling "HTML5 Preview Mode Enabled," the preview now displays as expected across different display resolutions.
Creating an empty project or opening a sample project now operates correctly.
The Document! X package now loads correctly in Visual Studio without displaying any errors.
The Show Help option now opens the correct documentation page.
The "locked by other user" message no longer incorrectly appears in Git-controlled projects.
Pages now load correctly in edit mode and when switching between preview and edit mode without any script errors.
The 'Build Documentation' action now works as expected, and the build outputs are generated correctly.
Known Issues
- When adding an image or Creating a new topic in a Git source Controlled project, the error message "The following files Check out for edit by another user" may incorrectly appear. Clicking OK to this message will allow the process to complete correctly.
- During the Build Documentation process in Visual Studio, if the 'Delete any files and sub-folders in the chosen output folder before building' checkbox is selected before clicking 'Start Build', Visual Studio may unexpectedly close. To avoid this, deselect the checkbox before starting the build process.
